Inheritus is a comprehensive platform designed to streamline estate administration and legacy management, serving both B2B and B2C audiences. As the sole designer and developer, my responsibilities encompassed the entire design process from concept to implementation.

Design Process

Research & Discovery

The project began with extensive research into user needs and pain points within estate management and inheritance processes. Key findings included:

  • Complexity in Legal Procedures: Users, both individuals (B2C) and legal professionals (B2B), faced challenges navigating legal requirements and document management.
  • Desire for Simplification: There was a strong demand for a user-friendly interface that simplifies complex tasks like asset inventory and will creation.
User Personas

Based on research insights, personas were developed to guide design decisions:

  • Individual Users (B2C): Concerned with managing their personal estates and ensuring a smooth transition of assets.
  • Legal Professionals (B2B): Require efficient tools for managing multiple estates and facilitating client interaction
Information Architecture & Wireframing

The information architecture was structured to cater to both B2C and B2B users, ensuring intuitive navigation and clear task flows:

  • B2C Interface: Simplified workflows for users managing personal estates, focusing on clarity and ease of use.
  • B2B Tools: Advanced functionalities for legal professionals, including bulk data management and client collaboration features.
Visual Design

The design aimed for a professional yet approachable aesthetic, utilizing a clean interface with intuitive controls:

  • Color Scheme: Neutral tones with accents to denote actions and alerts, ensuring accessibility and clarity.
  • Typography: Readability was prioritized with a balanced mix of serif and sans-serif fonts
